Everyone wants to look younger, or at least age gracefully. But not everyone is willing to undergo surgery in order to look younger. If you are one of those people, read on, because there is something you can do to look younger without going under the knife. Forget face lifts -- face yoga is in!

Yes, there are muscles in your face that can be exercised

Exercise is good for all other parts of your body, so why not the face? After all, there are muscles in the face, too. In fact, there are more than 50 different muscles in your face. Like all other muscles in your body, they need to be exercised in order to remain firm and taut.

Which brings us to face yoga. Face yoga is exercises designed to tighten the muscles in your face. You can get that same toned look in your face as you do in the rest of your body by doing face yoga. The key is to start face yoga while you are still young so you can prevent face muscles from sagging as you grow older.

Here are a few face yoga exercises you can try:
  1. Raise your eyebrows and hold for 5 seconds
  2. Look up at the ceiling
  3. Open wide and stick out your tongue
  4. Wiggle your nose from side to side

As you do the exercises, you will feel muscles in the neck and other parts of your face tighten and relax. The effect is the same as when you do other exercises -- you are tightening and strengthening facial muscles.
