Eating healthy is necessary for overall health, and even to lose weight. Those are good things. But did you know that certain eating habits can actually provide additional benefits, like starving cancer cells out of your body?
A diet that treat and prevents chronic diseases

It's called "nutritional ketosis" and it's a way of eating, along with eating the right kinds of food. It's a low-carb, high-fat diet that can not only treat certain types of chronic degenerative diseases -- including cancer -- but also prevent them. How does it work?

Cancer survivors Domini Kemp and Patricia Dalywrote wrote a book entitled The Ketogenic Kitchen: Low Carb. High Fat. Extraordinary Health, which describes the ketogenic diet as "shifting the body’s metabolism from burning glucose to burning fat, lowering blood sugar and insulin and resulting in a metabolic state known as ketosis." They both claim that the ketogenic diet played an important role in their recovery.

Not all fat is bad

The high fat in the ketogenic diet consists of good fat. Good fats can be found in foods like coconuts and coconut oil, raw grass-fed butter, lard, avocados, pastured egg yolks, grass-fed dairy and raw nuts like macadamias and pecans, as well as salmon, sardines and anchovies. It does not include bad fats such as is found in margarines, butter-like spreads and processed vegetable oils.

There is no special skill required in the kitchen to eat a nutritional ketogenic diet. In addition to helping prevent cancer, the ketogenic diet has been declared by some to be a treatment for insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, epileptic seizures, and even Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
