They Tried For 10 Years, and Then Finally Gave Birth to 6 Babies -- Now The Kids Are Grown Up... and Famous!

McGhee family of six children

Mia and Rozonno McGhee from Columbus, Ohio, are the proud parents of six children - all born at the same time! After trying for 10 years, the couple finally gave birth to sextuplets, four boys and two girls. But that was 7 years, and many, many reality show episodes ago.

One surprise after another

Needless to say, being pregnant with six babies was a surprise to the couple. They wanted children but had difficulty with pregnancies, including a miscarriage. After taking fertility drugs, the couple were blessed with not just one but 6 babies.

The famous photo of the McGhees was so adorable that it went viral on social media, and caught the eye of Oprah Winfrey, who changed their lives in another surprising way.

Made for TV

The McGhees became so popular that they ended up with a reality show called The 6 Little McGhees, which debuted back in December 2012 on OWN and ran for three seasons.

Then the show came back with a new name, Growing Up McGee, which debuted in June 2016 on UPtv and continues to air there on Wednesdays at 9pm. Their show is also reportedly syndicated on Magic Johnson’s Aspire Network.

The series follows the day-to-day lives of Mia and Rozonno McGhee, along with their household, as they balance life between their children, marriage and a family carpet cleaning business.

Not babies anymore

Now 7 years old, the kids are not babies anymore. They are all in elementary school, and that - in and of itself - is an adventure!
