Want Cancer? Keep Eating This -- Cancer Cells Love It!

Man eating sugary cereal

Americans consume an average of about 170 pounds of sugar a year. Kids eat ten times more sugar than they did in 1900. Excess sugar can lead to diabetes, heart disease, obesity, neurological disorders, behavioral disorders, autoimmune diseases, and cancer. Yes, cancer cells love sugar.

The link between sugar and cancer

Researchers at the University of Copenhagen found that sugar actually stimulates the growth of tumors. Out of all the billions of cells in our body, mutant cells can develop that form potential microscopic cancer. The more sugar you eat, the greater the chance that these cells will continue growing, making these abnormal cells dangerous.

It can be prevented

Many experts have stated that more than half of all cancers can be prevented, and one of those preventative steps is to remove refined sugar from your diet. Refined sugar refers to the unnatural sugar that is added to food products. This is different than the natural sugar found in foods such as apples and bananas, carrots, yogurt, milk, whole wheat bread and honey.

In many cases, the best option is to choose foods that say "organic", "no sugar added", or "no refined sugar".

Refined sugar can be found in...

* Most candies (including M&Ms, Skittles, and Snickers)
* Most cereals
* Most oatmeals
* Most apple sauces
* Most pop-tarts
* Juices (including juice boxes) with added sugars

It should be no surprise that both cancer and diabetes rates are rising at about the same pace. The solution is simple -- change your diet. Now!
